Narnia and butterflies.......

right, so it's the 8th and I'm still official looker-after-er of my family while my parents are enjoying themselves in Paris........the cheek of some people, honestly!

anyway, it was a good day.......my little brother is still on his holidays from school so I grabbed him, got hold of my nan and decided that we should get lunch in town......turned into an extremely good day!

well here I am in my random outfit for the day with a butterfly on my face.........I think it's alright, but I'd prefer to give it another try at somepoint just so the wings could look a bit more decorative........unless you like it, in which case thanks! ;)

ah yes, before meeting for lunch I wanted to check our comic shop for any new arrivals........but um yeah, instead of telling you what I bought I want to show you these amazing t-shirts......

slight problem though, I have no idea who made/designed/where the heck they're from so yeah before I get into masses of trouble =>

these t-shirts are copyright to whoever the heck has a copyright on them, if anyone knows then I'd love to be told as it would make my life easier......I think, anyway no yelling at me for stealing whatever is yours ok? It's copyright to you, I'm just posting them because I liked them.......okkies?

so yeah........I think I will actually comment on my marvelous comic find today, I got House of Mystery, Fallen Angle, a Fables and I almost bought the Baltimore comics that my brother insists are his to buy and that I can only read if I do things for him =_=;;

yeah, I just nick them and put them back when I'm done.........heh not a lot for a comic hunt so I ended up diving into some of the comics at home, ended up re-reading Petrefax, read a few Heavy Metals, 2000AD's (I found odd issues, I think I need to actually organise these one day...), Lucifer's and Sandman's......

does anyone know where I can find 'Book of Magic' comics? Just I was sure I had the entire thing, but I literally can only find 3 issues which either means they've been moved without me knowing or they're just hiding from me in the hope that I'll get a life and stop reading them.........meh, but yeah any help is appreciated! :-D

Random butterfly belt that I found somewhere and bought obviously! 3 layer tea towel scarf from Camden, random dress was a present I believe.......either that or I have no memory of ever buying it O_O;;

smug twit........heh sometimes I just wish I didn't decide to make this blog as I always look a fool in photo's...

but yeah, there's the butterfly.........I need to invest in red eyeliner.......one day, when I'm bothered enough to find it.................

Oh yeah! I went to see Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader..........it's great!! heh I still have the video's by the BBC of all of Narnia movies and I can definitely say this was amazing!! It was great when the Sea Monster appeared as I kept remembering the card board thing with a wierd balloon head with big eyes from the BBC version the entire way through and actually had to stop myself from laughing........anyway, it's a great film so I suggest you go watch it or find a DVD if it's out or heck.......why not read the book?!

too much effort? ah well, so much for me trying to help out a good book.......

but yeah that's all for today.........it was a lot of fun, but now I need to find my old videos and maybe a tv that still plays videos back home?

Year of the Rabbit 2011

7th January -

Ok, so I look a state in these photo's but can you blame me?! everyone was out of the house for once and yet I was still getting up at 7am =_=;; seriously life just likes to bug me doesn't it?!
Anyway, so I went back to sleep after doing my traditional morning attempt at eating breakfast and being happy after having only 3 hours sleep - ok, so in reality I could get the amount of sleep normal people have, but because I always find new things to do with art/comics/movies/books/pubbage/anything other than sleep(!) or on the odd occasion I actually get a good idea for something (extremely rare) so I end up awake until 5am most nights where I then start to realise my body is now screaming at me to go to sleep......so yeah it's my fault, but you can understand why I hate getting up at 7am.....

So yeah went back to sleep with the idea that I'd wake up when I was ready and then be fine and dandy when I had to go to some far off area of England with my nan to make sure she didn't kill herself driving there and didn't get lonely.......but would that work? Heck no! I woke up at 12 when I had to be ready and waiting for nan at 1!
Ok so I realise this sounds pathetic but it takes me longer than an hour to get ready on most days when I have nothing to do......mainly because I'm lazy and fall asleep inbetween making myself look human (nikki you have no right to comment if you start to itch with some past history that will further prove how hopeless I am! Remember that I have pictures of you and I am willing to post them at any notice, so no being mean missy!) But yeah, I mean when I have something important like concert tours and stuff like that I can handle being ready in 30 mins or less because you don't want to be the twit that walks in late and has the shame stare thrown upon them...........so as per usual I was panicking! :)

I acutally managed to get ready for 1 in the end though, which saved me a lot of hassle.....then to get a phone call from my nan saying that she is already driving up there and that I'm not to worry - basically meaning you can do what the heck you like as I'm not turning around now..........

but yeah..........so I ended up venturing into town, got lunch, some brown oasis blocks for a fake flower arrangement that I was doing for someone, bought resin and some mould putty........was a good day, filled with textings from my favourite theatre techy miss Nikki who entertains me everyday with hopeless tasks she's given, actors who will not listen until she screams at them, pubbage in London that she now does on a day-to-day basis and reminding me of why I need to somehow get her to smuggle me into her life with all the famous people she meets..........

so.......yes, well, let's start this blog with the actual face art that it's meant to be about ^_^;;

well yeah, it was raining today........so my hair has gone nuclear on me again >_<

For those of you who don't know, year 2011 is the year of the rabbit! <3 So this design is themed around a very cute rabbit writing 2011 onto my face........black eyeliner and silver glitter eyeliner.......sorry it's not more interesting, but that's all I could think of today, I'm sure something else will turn about soon....hopefully!

just so you can laugh at me a bit more I guess..........this is my lovely little child's T-shirt.....or rather the T-shirt that reminds everyone how old I really am and makes them notice my hair and mentallity to the point where they actually cry with the hopelessness that I like to call 'me ever growing up'! Yeah, I've already decided I'm quite happy as I am, so expect more silly stuffs as that's all I seem to do :-P

Brit stripes

6th of January- Somehow I'll find the missing pics for the 5th I promise!! But anyway today was my dad's birthday, but he and mum went to Paris today for a birthday trip.......we celebrated my dad's birthday on the 5th, hence I REALLY want to find the pictures!! :'(
Anyway, my parents didn't come back till the 9th and I was left in charge of my brother with my nan, not the simplest of things to happen but sometimes you have to do things (don't you find whenever that happens life throws a few bad things in to really make you want to just go to bed? Well yeah, that occasionally happened but I fixed everything somehow?!)

But yeah, I started mucking about with some resin work so I had to tie my hair back........I look strange with my hair back =_=;; But yeah, the theme was the union jack that's on my t-shirt with all the words.......

see?? It's really cool.......annoying as it's not warm but that's why I had my cardy on as well.......

so yeah, it's just half the flag......in silver eyeshadow and black eyeliner.......

I ended up going into town with my nan today for lunch and bumped into my Aunty Linda, it was nice to see her again........I had a lovely time with nan........

I had such a nightmare in the evening though, I was about to set the alarm and go up to bed when I realised I'd left a smelling candle on in the kitchen.......so I ran in and attempted to blow it out, that worked but I then knocked it over and it splashed everywhere including my little dogs bed :(

incase it got Tiny, I put her leg under a cold tap to check if any of the wax had hit her.......luckily she'd evaded it, but after that I scrubbed her bed clean and then threw it in the washing machine. I then decided to give her a bath to be double sure, luckily she has a spare bed because when we first got the cat it decided that tiny's bed was another little loo =_=;;

It doesn't do that anymore though!! So we have two beds for Tiny for when one of them needs a wash or airing.............so yeah, all problems evaded in the end!!

heh even when the eye's open the flag stripes are still definite in shape :)

hair dye

4th of January - basically I decided to re-dye my fringe myself at home..........so yeah, for some reason I forgot to take pictures before doing this.........so all the work smudged and ran........but now I have a bright fringe again, so I can't really complain ^_^;;

well this is what's left of what I did..............it did actually look quite pretty when it was intact........

ok so this is the front of my dress which I based the design on........

so yeah, I have the purple, blue and green back........

the orange is now brighter, theres a little yellow and the green is really pretty :) and that's about what I did today...........

ah yes, while buying coloured hair dye from JustEssentials.............I found the sale in Debenhams, where I got these adorable earrings for £3

and I got these lovely rings which look amazingly cool!!! heh but yeah, rather uninteresting day..........well, kinda, I started up my WoW Cataclysm account today and realised that now rather than just using a WoW account I have to have a Battle.net account - yep that's how long it's been since I've been in the WoW realms =_=;; Still I'm really happy as the old account is now merged with this new one, all my characters have transfered through and I now have a little goblin priest!! XD

I Love New York

Ok, so today's the 3rd......my little brother went to New York a while back and got me an I <3 NY t-shirt

it was a christmas present for me, only problem was it was in his size =_=;; so yeah it's a tad baggy on me to say the least........anyway, decided to finally try to wear it

Ta DA!! This was the only thing I could think of doing........basic heart around ~I <3 NY that I then added swirls, wings and curls too............actually looks good :)

this one actually looks like it could be a tattoo.......strange choice for a tattoo, but a tattoo none the less.......oh yeah, I forgot to mention this - lately as well as having a lot of work to do as well as this, I've been asked to do some tattoo designs for random people......it's actually quite fun, but the designs really are random for instance theres one that wants spiders with wings on flowers :-S As someone who does not like spiders this was an odd one........

ok, so my mum decided I have to show this because rather than keep to my lil' I will not eat any more trash idea - I shared a tiffin with my dad in Loofers......

Foundation Art Re-Union

2nd of Janurary........Foundation Art re-union.......or rather people I was insanely close with and good friends of in Foundation Art 're-union'

heh well this is my jumper from Topshop (I think I got it ages ago......during Foundation course actually!! heh that's wierd) Well anyway, I've based the design on my jumpers silhouette image........

Ta-da!! heh yep, I could've gone the easy route and drawn a deer but no! I have created a coat of arms design for it!!! Wow, I'm now really worried that this is a real coat of arms :-S Hopefully not, as I did it on the spot after seeing the shield image on the Tartan MAC makeup.........that's what gave me the idea......but yeah, hope you like this as it's now one of my favourites!! <3

heh, it actually looks really good......although it was funny I was walking round town with all my friends and to be honest myself and my friend Coral Shepstone look like rejects from the 80's when together......so here I was looking like a fan of Boy George and Coral looking like a typical BRIGHT 80's girl in her big puffy jumper with checks of bright colours all over it, boots, tutu skirt and her bright Orange hair with blue fringe.........yeah all of colchester was a gawk at the sight of us, it was really funny!! XD

so yeah here's the top of me.........didn't have my coat on unfortuantely, that made me look even madder if I'm honest but I loved how I looked today, shame I can't repeat the shield design until after 365 days :'(

Oh yeah, one of my other friends at reunion was Chloe who bought me this amazing key necklace from Camden for Christmas!!! Isn't it cool?!?! XD Already had my looking glass from Tom on, so with the both of them on it looked brilliant!! <3

like my hat? The bows from my favourite shop in Japan called 6% Doki Doki......the daffodil/narcissus hat pin is from a vintage stall in Brick Lane.......

well here I am being photographed by Coral in Pizza Hut, it was the only place everyone would agree on!!

heh everyone was really impressed by this one, I guess it does look a lot more intricate than it is.......

1st of January 2011

Ok so after New years eve festivities........well I had been up till 4am, so I was VERY tired..........I ended up getting up at 11 am and well after saying hi to family and doing the whole breakfast as a family thing, yeah I went back to sleep till 2pm..............I realise how lazy that sounds but I cannot run without enough sleep and I'm not a morning person in the slightest so all of these things added to the fact that I didn't want to get up :(

But yeah, I ended up just being very simple today as I was going no where, doing nothing and seeing no one except my lovely family and pets..........

if you haven't guessed then I question your logic - obviously this is a number one design for the first day of January 2011..........simple but straight to the point, it also brings about the fact that numbers are incredibly easy and very showy when done in bright or bold colours.......... this is also (minus the '1') how I actually look as I have no make up on.......heh oh the utter shame of it all! ;)

yep this is me being comfy......long black top with long black sleeves, black skinnies and most importantly my slippers...........yeah this was a real dossing day - ended up playing Scrabble as is the tradition with my family.........I started the game with a really good word and thought for once in my life I might actually manage to beat my mum at it!! But no it was not meant to be, I went from a mega awesome score to last place =_=;;

See losing at Scrabble is my tradition during the new Year, my grandad was exceptional at it, my parents are the king and queen of the game, my brother is a loud mouth show off who cheats whenever possible and then there's me - struggling to get rid of large numbered tiles, trying desperately to make words that will raise my score and just in general floundering around and wondering how the Scrabble gene somehow skipped me?

After all that mess, we simply sat down to a chinese takeaway (my brother and I were soooo happy!) and watched random movies and TV shows that were on......again not an exciting night but a wonderful one that's just fun while comfy........

Anyway, this is very simple...........start off with I drew the outline of number '1' in black liquid eyeliner, then bulk up the outline........then I filled it in with metalic gold Barry M eyeliner.......simple really :)

Well these are my slippers...........I will not allow anyone to say bad things about them, as they're cute, warm, comfy and frankly rather funny to walk around in.......so yeah, that was my first of January :)
