Rose and Stereos

Saturday 22nd of January

 simple rose and thorn...........not coloured in as I thought I'd show a simple one, as normally I'd fill in with colour and lose the original image........this is kind of me showing that it starts more complicated looking than it finished normally..........

so yeah just black eyeliner for this one..........

know what I've learnt? that I don't suit black eyeshadow............it just makes me look like I'm falling asleep!!!

ah yes!! I want these sunglasses!!! See I normally don't post about stuff that I want to buy, but here are a few exceptions! I love the shape and colour of these, so if I have enough money these will be mine for the summer..........

they're soooooooooo cool!!! XD

ok, so maybe I might get these as well!! AH!! I love strange shaped sunglasses, actually I have to wear reading glasses on odd occassions and if I'm honest I want some strange frames for my glasses which no where in colchester do :'(

I mean, you know the 50's face furniture as they were called - a kind of dulled down dame edna kinda look, well I love those styles they had, round ones in bright colours, triangular, square with swirls...........

so yeah, I would look like a mega wierdo and be soooo happy about it but alas no spec shop shares my vision (if there was a bad joke in there then I apologise, it wasn't meant like that!)

Mwahahahaha!! I found the glasses on the interwebs, as the ones above are vintage whereas these are by Vera Wang - only problem is I can't afford these ones :(

Aren't these cute?!?! heh I have the Panda for my ipod and it's amazing!!! you place your hand on their ears to alter the volume of your music and their noses glow to show they're on!

But yeah, they didn't have the cat or the dog when I bought my panda, but even if they did I still think I'd have bought my panda anyway as he's the cutest thing ever!! XD

then again this does have a collar and looks sooooooo cute!! hmm............no my panda would cry if I bought him :(

so yeah.............I shall end my week catch up with my little cat Garfield, who seems to like posing strangely lately............so yeah, thanks for following and not abandoning me during my time of relentless work and nights of 2hour sleep.......this will be up to date and continue that way by tomorrow, so yeah please keep reading as I'm sooooooo not finished with this yet! ^_^

Clouds and Stars

Friday the 21st.....

Ok, so there's no thursday which is annoying, but I can't do much about that right now so lets skip ahead to Friday the 21st of January which is the day that apparently CONDRON saw me in town........which really shocked me as I know she's following this blog but I didn't realise she was in Colchester ^_^ Anyway, it was cool to see your comment CONDRON and thankyou very much as it's nice to know that someone out there likes how I look..........so yeah, thankyou for following my blog as muddled as it can be and as late as it's normally posted.............

 so here I was today having a coffee with my friend Vicky Gray, who I hadn't seen during Christmas so we did a late present exchange today..........

here she is looking absolutely lovely today...........

ah yes, she bought a zip bracelet from Claires that ended up being turned into an arm band and as promised here I am posting about it :-P

so today's design was a little bit mystical for once................a swirling clud with stars, it's black eyeliner with gold metallic by Barry M, now I know I seem to always lately use Barry M but it's really good at going over black eyeliner - so if any mistakes are made or if you decide to alter the size of an image on a black design then it really is the eyeliner to use  as it covers brilliantly!

Wednesday 19th January

 Well here's Lydia who I met up with for the day........as always she's super cute, bright, colourful and scene kiddy (although I know she'll kill me for saying that!)

and here I am, looking like I need more sleep which I did for the past two weeks..........

anyway, it's my victorian dress with the inappropriate bright bra straps (oops), my victorian medal necklace and my Top hat Necklace from Disney Couture........

well here's the design, some silver William Morris-ish leaves curling and holding a gentlemans top hat with a silver band around it.........

wow I REALLY needed sleep huh? Sometimes I think this blog is more to show just how bad I look somedays =_=;; still, at least even when tired I can still draw on my face.........

little close up that's gone kind of blury.........so yeah, black eyeliner and silver glitter........

the leaves of the design are based on the medal that incorporates those all the way through it, heh I also have a Top hat ring from Disney Couture...........

I had to post these.........another big apology present for you all, my little garfield conking out about the house.......he looks so sweet, but he always reminds me how long he's gotten since he was a kitten........

Eyes

Right, onto the 18th January Tuesday.....

My wonderful T-shirt dress from H&M which inspired me for today..........

so here I am, again in my belted boots, my t-shirt dress thing, my cardy with the studs and my spotted hair bow..........

see the T-shirt dress says 'the one eyed red-head' so I thought well that's a bit boring and added a few eyes to my face.....

these are extremely comfortable boots, that are kinda piratey/highway man..........so I adore them!

my lovely hair bow that was my mum's in the 80's

oh yeah, to match or to confuse to two sides on my face - my lipstick was half and halved........so the odd side with all the eyes and spiky eyelash decore is red lipstick which is a theatrical but normal colour, then the normal side has my blue lipstick that in all honesty I used to wear everyday until going to Sixth form and being told by my friends that I looked like I was dieing from the cold...........

This is kind of me going well I like it and I don't care, also my friends are now extremely used to how I like to look and dress so the colour is no longer as shocking as it used to be for them.........infact most of the time when someone says something mean about me they stick up for me, or scare the person away......I don't actually care, I mean it's Colchester after all and the people here are only just used to the sight of goths in town, so I'm a flipping freak show when I walk around :)

ah yeah, remember monday I showed the latex mould with holes? Well this is the end result of placing it in a glass so the mould would stay straight and the resin would dry without spilling............apparently I hadn't blocked all of the holes, so it leaked into the glass which ultimately died for the greater good of my experimentation that is art..........I'll miss it, but I have so many pint glasses now that really it was just cluttering the cupboard..........

I couldn't get all the glass off and smashing was the only definite idea I had to tackle it..........so I called mum and she came over and decided to attack it with kitchen utensils..........why I hadn't thought of this I have no idea, but it worked and left me with a frankenstein kind of shape......not what I wanted but well, practice makes perfect right? or is that practice makes the glasses disappear? :-S

I really like this look.definitely halving my lipstick again and the eyes turned out really well!

Oh yeah!!! Look what I found!!!!! XD

While going through DeviantArt to read a fan comic called GND that I've followed for ages now, I noticed two new characters in the latest posts.... a Graverobber and a Shilo.........

Ok, so let me first explain about the fan comic, it's mainly based around the idea of all fictional or movie based characters being in this appartment block.....as an example Sarah and Jareth the Goblin King from the Labrynth.....in every post it's explained that none of the characters are hers, but the comic is.....

so it really is a fan comic, that explores what happens to the characters and the interaction they have with other characters, like Elizabeth Swan from Pirates of the Carribean is obviously with Will Turner but whenever she bumps into Legolass or Sweeney Todd she gets really confused and De Ja Vued because those characters are played by the same actors in her movie and therefore look similar to Captain Jack and Will Turner.........

but yeah, so I read the posts with these characters in and was intrigued as I'd never heard of Graverobber or Shilo before so at first I thought it was  TV series from SyFy or something that I hadn't seen.......so I searched them up on google and wow was I surprised.........they from an epic movie called Repo! The Genetic Opera...........

The minute I found it and saw clips on youtube, I was hooked.........it's a brilliant and clever movie, that I wish had more publicity behind it as it's the kind of movie that you wish people would create!

I mean, for a quick kind of understanding about it I'd say think Sweeney Todd meets Rocky Horror Show, with the definite theme of they're the baddies and they're the good guys that you find in the Moulin Rouge...

I'm back! So here's 17-22nd week posts!

Right so this is the entire blog collection for the 17th - 22nd..........

I realise I'm 2 weeks behind, but I had a lot of work to complete and hand in for my degree this friday......so as an apology and because I've finished and handed everything in, I'm doing all of the posts so you'll have an entire week to view and read about..........this is a one time thing, although if I hit another deadline again this will probably be the end result of weeks of no posts..........so don't give up and think I've up and quit, as I haven't and I'll always explain why I'm behind or why there hasn't been any posts........so just keep looking or wait for me to explain as I'm not leaving this until I've completed 365 designs!!!

So if you're willing to continue with me through the 365, then thankyou and hopefully I'll make your time reading this worth it!

So let's start with monday 17th January........

Right well on monday I was still experimenting with resin and mould making......so I tried latex......it was such an epic fail I'm not even sure why I've posted it, you see I forgot to block up any holes in the sculpture with clay so the latex had made an exact mould around my little piper......

So I had to carefully peel it off after rubbing it in washing up liquid so it didn't stick together, then when I hit areas where it was literally wrapped around an arm I had to make small cuts with my scissors leaving these little holes all around the mould........

for a first try, the thickness and shape are fine........but for the fact that I forgot to block up bits and make it a dominant mould it was a failed try..........I'm still going to attempt it again, but yeah I now know how to do that better :)

Well this is me for monday, I had my Darling top on with all it's droopy flowers, my gold waistecoat, cross from Notre Dam and my awesome earrings!

oh yeah, also my belted boots........but you can't really see them here

todays design, to go with the pattern on my dress/top thing............black eyeliner, pink metallic by Barry M, silver glitter, green glitter with a little green mascara to make the colour darker........

see!!! Aren't the earrings cool?!?! You can't wear them twice though! They're fine for a day and night, but if you then try to wear them the next day your ear feels like it's actually ripping in half........still, soooooo worth it! I love BIG earrings! :)

Ah yes, this was to do with my art work...........see for the theme of the Uncanny, I had looked at Siamese twins...........so incase you're still confused, my friend here 'Carlene' is posing two different positions but keeping her hips vaguely similar........what I did next with these, is I cut diagonally through this picture and matched it to the next picture so it looked like she herself was a conjoined twin........it really worked as well, I'm just annoyed that I forgot to take a picture as now I can't touch it until 2 weeks are up, but nevermind.........
